"Anwesha - The quest for innovation."

International Automobile Centre of Excellence(iACE) and Gujarat Technological University (GTU), with support from the Industries Commissionerate and StartUp Cell Gujarat organized ‘Anwesha – The quest for innovation’ . An initiative with the core theme of women empowerment and innovation conducted in Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Surat, Ahmedabad and the finale event at iACE, Gandhinagar on 08th March 2022, to celebrate the International Women’s Day as per the event theme.

The finale event of ‘Anwesha’ was graced by the presence of Chief Guest, Shri D. R. Parmar, Joint Commissioner of Industries (Startups), Government of Gujarat; Guest of Honour, Prof. Dr. Navin Sheth, Hon. Vice Chancellor – GTU, Mr. M.M. Singh, CEO-iACE, Dr. K. N. Kher, Registrar – GTU, Shri R. D. Barhatt, GM-DIC and Mrs. Pabiben Rabari, celebrated women entrepreneur. The event dignitaries included Mr. E. Rajiv, GM – iACE, Mr. Tushar Panchal, CEO-GTU-GISC, Mr. Keyur Darji, Director-Department of International Relations among other key members from the ecosystem. The finale event proceedings resonated with International Women’s Day and witnessed active participation by women representatives from diverse backgrounds.

For the pitch session of Finale Event at iACE-Gandhinagar, 15 startups were shortlisted from the total 70 startups in participation who are working progressively on innovative solutions in the realm of emerging technology, clean-tech, health-tech, smart energy, EV transportation, waste management and more. The top 3 startups of the finale event were appreciated and judged by a panel of more than 10 eminent startups ecosystem members towards an end-to-end support by the respective nodal institutions conducting the Anwesha event.
