‘StartUps on Sustainability’ (SOS)

International Automobile Centre of Excellence (iACE) hosted an event ‘StartUps on Sustainability’ (SOS) withStart-up CellGovernment of Gujarat (GOG)
International Automobile Centre of Excellence (iACE), a joint venture of Government of Gujarat and Maruti Suzuki India Limited hosted a 1-day event titled ‘StartUps on Sustainability’ (SOS), constituting of Industry Professionals, government officials and various Start Ups.
The event was jointly hosted by Industries Commissionerate Gujarat and StartUp Cell Gujarat on 10th December 2021, from 10 AM to 5 PM.
It is commendable to note that this was second time iACE hosted an event, having previously done on 22nd June 2021, after being registered as Nodal institute.
The Chief guests includes Shri Jagdish Vishwakarma (Panchal), Hon'ble Minister of States, Govt. of Gujarat, KenichiroToyofuku’ Director -Corporate Planning, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, D R Parmar, Deputy Commissioner of Industries, Government of Gujarat along with M M Singh, CEO iACE and General Manager, iACE E. Rajiv.
The event hosted sessions like Startup showcase, brainstorming, ideation, presentation & panel discussions. More than 60 startups registered and attended the event, mainly from Gujarat where they showcased their sustainable products. Various students and entrepreneur showcased their and the show highlights were EV vehicles like Bikes and Cycles with an idea of spending 100 RS to can drive a vehicle upto 500 KM.
Mr Kenichiro Toyofuku was impressed with some creative startups and said “Maruti Suzuki is committed to sustainable & inclusive growth for the automobile industry and are already taking adequate measures in this direction to not only meet the regulatory requirements, but to go beyond it. Startups with innovative ideas shoudk contact Maruti for any innovations.
MM Singh concluded the event by saying “ iACE as a organisation is focused on the sustainability as one of the core pillars for its functioning. iACE would support new and existing startups who dreams big and want to see a change in society with better development.
