National Education Ministers’ Conference at iACE

The 2 Days National Education Ministers’ Conference was organised by the Ministry of Education, India, the Ministry of Gujarat and the Human Resource Development department in Gandhinagar, with the focus on the implementation of the new National Education Policy (NEP).

Education Ministers of various states and union territories (UTs) participated in the conference. Union Education Minister Hon. Dharmendra Pradhan along with Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, MoS Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology; Smt. Annapurna Devi, MoS for Education; Shri Subhash Sarkar, MoS for Education, Gujarat education minister Shri Jitu Vaghani, Delhi education minister Shri Manish Sisodia, and senior officials of the Ministry of Education participated in the meeting.

During the visit, Hon. Dharmendra Pradhan said that the joint venture between the Government of Gujarat and Maruti Suzuki India Limited, International Automobile Centre of Excellence is a wonderful example of industry-academia collaboration, blended and employment-oriented learning. He suggested NCVET to evolve ways to provide degree equivalence to skill training programs conducted there.
